bias: Prejudices for and against various characteristics. Characteristics that frequently evoke bias include gender identity, race, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, weight, and religion, among many others.

blind spot: An area where one’s objective view is obstructed, potentially by one’s bias or limited world view.
