Release 5 Products
With Release 5.0, Lotus offers three versions of the Domino server, one version of the Notes client, and two Notes client add-ins—Domino Designer and Domino Administrator. The three Domino servers are as follows:
Domino Mail Server. This low-end server offers basic email and collaboration services.
Domino Application Server. This is the standard Domino server, similar to the Domino server of earlier releases. It includes the features of the Domino Mail Server and adds Web application services, CORBA/IIOP support, and connectivity to data sources external to Domino.
Domino Enterprise Server. This includes all capabilities of the other servers and adds server clustering for increased data availability.
