Chapter 2. Planning an Installation
Planning ahead is essential to a successful Domino/Notes deployment (no surprise there). Whether you are setting up a new Domino installation or extending an existing one, you need to determine beforehand what your needs are and how you will meet them. If you are setting up a new Domino installation—a new domain or organization—planning is especially important, because mistakes made in the initial setup tend to haunt you forever, and because a poorly planned and executed rollout may fail entirely. But even if you are just extending an existing installation, lack of adequate planning can lead to costly mistakes.
