First Server Configuration
When you are ready to finish setting up the first server in your organization, run Domino on the server. In Windows 9x/NT/Intel you choose Domino in the menu. On the other platforms you run Domino with a special command line that starts up a browser-based setup application. Under Windows NT/Alpha the command is [path]\ahttp httpsetup. Under OS/2 the command is [path]\ihttp httpsetup. Under UNIX the command is /opt/lotus/bin/http httpsetup.
Under Windows/Intel, Domino will try to run but will fail because it hasn't been configured yet. If you watch closely, you will see an error message to that effect on the screen. But then, somewhat miraculously, Notes will start up. A variable in notes.ini (SetupDB=Setup.nsf ...
