Directory services—the publication to users of information about entities listed in directories—have always played a central and pervasive role in Notes and Domino. In R5, Lotus has refined existing directory services and added a new one. To set up and administer an efficiently operating Notes domain, you must understand the role that each service plays and how they work together.
