Domain Search
Traditionally, users have been able to search databases that have full-text indexes to find documents containing data they need. The Domain Search extends that ability across many databases, encompassing an entire domain.
Setting up domain searching involves several pieces: It starts with the Domain Catalog Server, which handles the centralized administration of domain searching. The Domain Catalog controls which databases and file systems to index, and results are filtered to users based on their access to the databases and file systems. The Domain Indexer builds a central index against which all queries are run.
