Chapter 13. Photo Management
I love my digital camera. I'm not a professional photographer, so I gave up using film a long time ago. Instead, I purchased a large capacity memory stick/card (1GB of storage), so I can take pictures all day without worrying about running out of film or storage space. And with software such as GIMP (see Chapter 7) and Inkscape (see Chapter 8), I'm able to make all kinds of interesting modifications to my photos.
But there is one big problem I have with my digital photos, and maybe you have it, too: organizing all those photos and keeping track of them. When I'm looking in the My Pictures
folder on my PC, with more than 2,000 digital pictures, I would sure like to be able to quickly find only those that have my son ...
