Organizational Changes

Major organizational change can either be the cause of downsizing, or the result. Whenever there is a significant change in the number of people in an organization, a restructuring plan is likely to be needed in order to determine how to more effectively distribute the work. You should be looking at the organization’s structure before the final decision is made to determine if it still will be effective with the number of people that will remain in the organization after the reductions are completed. Planning and implementing these organizational changes to address the workload distribution will also reduce the stress and anxiety of those who have to assume these additional responsibilities.
