DRAWING MEDIUMS

Many different mediums can be used for drawing, from regular pencils to markers and pastels. Beginning artists should work with more forgiving mediums and develop skills with graphite or charcoal, preferably both. These mediums can be erased so you can make mistakes without worrying.

With even the most basic paper, you can develop your skills. Scratch paper can be as inexpensive as old, lined binder paper. If you go to an art store, they have newsprint which is very economical.
