Digital Drawing Exercise Three: Intermediate Painting
This exercise makes a color image from a monochrome source. It uses layers, selection techniques, and blending modes as well as exploring how to apply color. This exercise requires basic knowledge of painting tools and layers in Photoshop. I take a familiar object from nature such as the sunflower and attempt to transform a black and white portrait of it into one with color. I selected this image because of the boldness and clarity of the subject in it.
