BULLDOG
Step One I sketch the outline of the head using an HB pencil, placing it slightly to the right and above the middle of my drawing area. I add the arch indicating the muzzle, the shape of the jowls, and the eyes, adjusting until I achieve accurate proportions. Very little of the body is showing, so it is quite simple to sketch the shoulders, front paws, and what little of the rear body is visible. I now refine this sketch so I have definite areas to begin shading, delineating them with strokes that follow the direction of hair growth.
