55 Cleanup — General

Study model sheet and/or examples of character to date. Discuss character with knowledgeable person. Acquire key drawing.

Get acquainted with scene; know what it is portraying and how it is portrayed. If there are any doubts, talk to the animator, director, key man, or study ruff reel.

Flip scene several times, then roll the drawings five at a time or from extreme to extreme. Pay special attention to breakdowns and inbetweens, making sure arcs and overlaps are used and followed. Make rough corrections or suggestions on drawings that need adjusting.

Also check dialog and/or pan movements, if any.

Remove inbetween drawings and lay aside.
