The sciences all offer their own windows on the world. In their search for the origins of human nature biologists rely on studies of various forms of animal behavior, psychologists on laboratory experiments, paleontologists on the fossil record, archaeologists on the remains of earlier human civilizations, anthropologists on the diversity in human cultures, and neuroscientists on the biochemistry and neural circuitry of the human brain.
