3 SCOPE THE PROJECT
There is probably a long to-do list in your head of projects that would help you advance your organisation’s mission. In Phase One, you’ll learn to prioritise that list and determine which would be the best data projects to launch.
We will walk through the critical steps to developing the right project scope (as shown in Figure 3.1). First, we’ll look at your organisational priorities. Then, we’ll explore where these priorities sit in the data supply chain and address each need. Using some simple vetting tools, you’ll arrive at a list of projects that are good matches for beginning to think of data as a service.
