Walk into a new transformation role three times in 10 years, and you get to see some patterns. In all three instances that I have done this, I start my review with leaders with one simple question. Think about the time you met your team or your colleagues for the first time in a group setting. Once you go through introductions, you’re likely going to ask individuals and the team what they are working on. What are they doing today? Why are certain projects a business priority? How is everyone going about solving today’s challenges, and what is being considered as the next potential business initiatives?
