Abstract

Generally, drones are known as Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV). Humans or robots can control the UAV remotely. Drone technology was introduced in twentieth century for military purposes and it came to common people hands by twenty-first century. Artificial Intelligence (AI) helps the machine to think artificially and it makes them to behave like humans. In this digital era, most of electronic devices are converted into smart devices with help of the AI technology. This chapter explores the role of AI in drone technologies. Drone technologies are used by the following organizations: military, industries, and logistics. AI applications of drones are discussed in this chapter with detailed uses cases. AI technology helps the drone to collect data and predict the outcome instantly. The smart drone greatly helps people to execute the hard work they are reluctant to do and to produce more efficient results.
