A PHP Primer for Drupal
PHP is the programming language used in Drupal. As you may already know, Drupal uses a LAMP stack. The “P” in the word LAMP stands for PHP (the first letters stand for Linux, Apache, and MySQL). PHP is the programming language that does most of the work to make Drupal what it is—it is the guts of Drupal. This chapter teaches you the basics of the PHP programming language.
