PDF is like a digital briefcase. You can put television programs, videos, music, books, brochures, magazines, training manuals, flyers, catalogs, corporate reports, newsletters, bios, and many other forms of media inside it, and lock it up for safe keeping.
It’s portable. Instead of carrying it to a meeting, you can transmit it via the Internet, anywhere in the world. If they have the password, recipients of the digital PDF briefcase can open it up using the free Adobe Reader application and then view or remove all of the media to convert it back to its original form. The media might be a printed document or an attached digital video file for use in an iPod or on a DVD.
