Vision and Mission

The terms vision and mission have been used almost interchangeably, but their meaning depends on the author and the work. The vision and mission statements of an organization have clear distinctions but work together as a whole. What is essential is the ability to differentiate between the enterprise level and the strategic business level. In plain language, the vision represents the dream, and the mission is the path to get there. For our purposes, we will adopt the term vision as being used at the enterprise level and mission as being appropriate at the strategic business level.
