A word about the title

Time for a reality check and a leap of faith

The first book in this troika was titled Living Supply Chains (FT Prentice Hall, Harlow, 2006). Some of my readers were a little bemused by my choice of the word ‘living’ in the context of supply chains, implying that our supply chains are brimming with the same living, organic eco-systems that we find in nature. Based on this reaction I decided to adopt a more widely accepted word in my second book, but one that had a similar meaning.
