Trying to define, compartmentalize, label, and pull together collage animation is akin to breaking a stone with a feather duster.
It's a fool's task.
Clearly, I’m a fool.
But why should this be easy? We’re in an age of visual saturation, where images and sounds collide seemingly every second within our subconscious. Uniting a technique rooted in disruption, displacement, and destruction should be challenging.
While the animation industry salivates over every shiny new technological toy, it's an older, more traditional, and much less sexy technique that offers the aptest reflection of modern society: collage.
