Chapter 2. Upgrading to Windows 10 AE

You can install Windows 10 Anniversary Edition (AE) as an upgrade to either Windows 7 or Windows 8.1, retaining your existing apps, settings, and personal data. You can purchase the software license and upgrade from Microsoft or from third-party vendors in two forms: a downloadable file or a USB flash drive that contains the upgrade files.
