The Hyperbola UI described in Part II is purposely simple, but it still touches on most of the central features of the Workbench’s UI paradigm, in particular, perspectives, views, and editors. If you take a careful look at the Eclipse IDE’s UI, you can see that much more can be done with these building blocks than what we’ve used so far in Hyperbola. For example, as shown in Figure 16-1, the Workbench allows multiple windows to be opened and each window to have multiple perspectives.
