Security is crucial for today’s networks and will be even more so in the future. With the Internet, it is necessary to constantly invent new processes that guarantee the non-disclosure of many elements, such as location, the names of those who are authenticated, the semantics of messages, private life information, etc. Among the different solutions that can be considered, we will detail three: the use of a Cloud of security, the use of secure elements and the arrival of blockchain. The first one is a new paradigm that is becoming more and more widespread, the second solution has been used for a long time but is being renewed with eSIM and iSIM and the third one is spreading rapidly for certification and traceability.

9.1. Cloud of security on the Edge

The security of the network world is a paradigm that has no simple solution apart from improvements to the already large number of existing algorithms to respond to new attacks. However, this chapter discusses a new solution in the world of security: the Cloud of security, that is, a Cloud whose objective is to secure information and networks in the world of operators, businesses and the general public. An initial diagram of a Cloud of security is shown in Figure 9.1.
