Introduction
There is a trend in social enterprise in developing intellectual property through practice, and subsequently monetizing the intellectual property to generate revenue. A case study of Free Geek provides a counterexample to this trend, describing an open source, triple bottom line organization that scales its impact by licensing its intellectual property at no financial cost.
