Summary

This case provides an example of the methods used by a team of two entrepreneurs in testing and financing their social venture. Aspiring social entrepreneurs must often search for seed capital to start their social ventures. “Angel Investors” are often sought to provide a one-time investment to help a company during start-up or through its early, difficult stages. Another widely used method for acquiring seed capital that can be used as collateral and for leveraging other funds are business planning competitions.
