A MySQL Replication Test Environment
Throughout this book, Effective MySQL: Replication Techniques in Depth, many examples require a working environment of a master instance and at least one slave instance to demonstrate the output shown. There are several ways to create an appropriate MySQL environment if you do not have access to the necessary hardware and software. The following setups are used for the demonstrations in this book and can be easily created to reproduce all the examples. Some advanced examples in this book do require additional operating system configuration, for example, dedicated IP addresses.
