Learning from Trailblazers

At this point in the chapter, you may be thinking that the transition along the spectrum of remoteness is fraught with peril and hard work. And it is. But there’s plenty of inspiration available from other companies that are at varying stages along the journey, and we can learn from them by what they’ve shared with the world.

Two of the influential early adopters of fully remote working culture that have also produced notable written works are Automattic (the creators of WordPress) and 37signals, which later changed its name to Basecamp, the creators of the software of the same name.
