So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Zeitlich ordnen wir uns in die 20er Jahre des 20. Jahrhunderts ein. Seit dem „Wohlstand der Nationen“ von Adam Smith im Jahre 1776 sind über 150 Jahre vergangen. 150 Jahre, die durch die Industrialisierung und einen enormen Aufbau der Wirtschaft geprägt waren, die aber auch soziale Verwerfungen mit sich gebracht hatten. Unter Bismarck gab es 1883 mit der Krankenversicherung die erste Sozialversicherung in Deutschland, der dann über die nächsten Jahrzehnte weitere folgen sollten.
Die Wirtschaftslehre hatte das 18. und 19. Jahrhundert mit der Klassik und Namen wie Adam Smith und David Ricardo und die anschließende Neoklassik mit der mikroökonomischen Perspektive und Namen wie Gossen, Walras ...
