Developing an EJB: an example application
In this section, we present the basic components of an example application that we can use as a reference in subsequent chapters. We use this example to demonstrate the concepts of EJB development.
Although we only use a subset of the ITSO banking application that we describe in Part 2, “Developing and testing EJBs with Application Developer” on page 329, it should be noted that we discuss this application only in a very abstract sense. In fact, we skip most of the implementation details in favor of the important concepts. Therefore, the specifics of this application are reintroduced in Part 2.
