The EV revolution means automobiles with fewer moving parts, which in turn means fewer points of failure, which in turn should mean you’ll spend less of your time and money keeping the EV on the road.
Of course, “less service” doesn’t mean “no service.”
EVs are still machines made of glass and steel, held together with rivets and glue, and nothing lasts forever. Additionally, these machines require a significant upfront investment (or CapEx, to my infrastructure planners in the audience), and so it certainly makes good financial sense to spend a little on routine maintenance rather than a lot on major repairs (that’s called lowering OpEx in the infrastructure planning biz).
