INTRODUCTION

A linear time-invariant circuit is completely characterised in time-domain by its impulse response h(t). The sinusoidal steady-state frequency response function H() too can be obtained from impulse response with the help of convolution integral. H() was seen to contain h(t) in a hidden form in the form of an equation images in Chap. 12. That observation led us to the present part of the book that had the stated aim of showing that H() is an equally complete characterisation of a linear time-invariant circuit in frequency-domain.
