17.12 TELLEGEN'S THEOREM
Consider a lumped parameter network with n nodes and b branches in it. The branches in the network may be linear or non-linear, time-invariant or time-variant, active or passive. Let the reference directions for the branch currents be chosen arbitrarily for all the branches in the network. However, the reference polarity for the branch voltage will be chosen as per the passive sign convention, once the reference direction for branch current is chosen. The oriented graph for the network may now be prepared. Select one of the nodes in the graph as the reference node.
