Numerical Computation of High-Voltage Field by Charge Simulation Method
ABSTRACT An alternative approach towards solving Laplace’s or Poisson’s equations by differential equation techniques is to take integrals of these equations using discrete charges or by subdividing the interfaces into subsections of charges. Conventional charge simulation method (CSM) is based on the usage of discrete charges. This chapter discusses in detail the simulation of single-dielectric as well as multi-dielectric arrangements using CSM for both symmetric and asymmetric systems.
