Abstract

In order to understand the principles and operation of electrical engineering, a reasonable knowledge in magnetic circuits and transformers is very much needed. In this chapter, some of the basic concepts of magnetic fields are discussed. It is shown that these concepts form the basis for development of magnetic circuits, which are fundamentals buildings blocks of transformers and electric machinery.
