It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Capacitor Exploder
Overview
A wire and part exploder, magnetizer, object accelerator, and high-power magnetic pulse generator. This device allows you to determine the explosion point of many components when operated in an overvoltage fault condition. This testing and evaluation is very important for components used as suppressors and absorbers, and for many other protective electrical components. Thin aluminum wire actually will detonate and vaporize!
Also, many ferrous objects may be magnetized by winding a coil with the proper number of turns and wire size over the target object and switching the discharge through this coil.
