Tesla Lightning Generator (10- to 12-Foot Spark)
Overview
This large Tesla coil, standing about 6 ft high, is capable of throwing out sizable miniature bolts of lightning that when properly tuned will reach up to 10 to 12 ft in length (Figs. 9-1 and 9-2). The size, sight, and sound of these strikes are sure to amaze all onlookers, especially if they get inside a Faraday cage and watch the bolts of lightning strike to within inches of their faces!
