Solid-State Tesla Coil
Overview
This solid-state Tesla coil (Fig. 10-1) is used as a spectacular display of lightning-like discharges for museums, attention-getting advertising, special events, and of course, high-voltage, high-frequency research. With the audio interface circuitry, a keyboard can be attached such that the electrical arc frequencies resonate as the notes of the keys being played, and you can actually play music right through these electrical arcs!
