It was about 11 p.m. on a December evening in Flagstaff, Arizona. I was sitting in bed reading a novel on my iPad. Suddenly my bed began to shake and even roll a bit. At first I assumed that my small dog, who was sleeping under the bed, was having a nightmare and was moving around to get comfortable. The shaking continued, and my dog is really too small to cause the bed to move at all. I looked out the window but didn’t see a large truck outside or any disturbance of any kind.
