Abstract
This chapter specializes in cell phones. The cellular concepts are outlined and explained. The content of a modern smartphone is revealed. The major technical generations through fourth generation (4G) and fifth generation (5G) are defined. A major part of the coverage is devoted to the special modulation methods and transmission techniques. Among them are orthogonal frequency division multiplex and quadrature amplitude modulation.
