Summary

This chapter introduced Project Trailblazer and the Silverjack Resort layout. The Engineering Department worked with the Operations Department to develop a set of high-level requirements. These requirements formed the basis for the Project Trailblazer system architecture. At this point, the Engineering Department understood the project from a block-level perspective. The functionality of the blocks was defined and their interconnection was established. The engineers are now ready to enter the design phase of Project Trailblazer and begin to specify components.
