Abstract

Biological systems are complex systems with a dynamic evolution in terms of structure and biological causality. In order to model and control these systems, we must observe and simulate their behavior using relevant models. This chapter introduces a logical model based on default logic for DNA double-strand break (DSB) modeling. This new approach handles the uncertainties of knowledge and missing information concerning the conditions of activation/inhibition of some proteins.
