Appendix K. Results of the 2005 Survey of Emotional Intelligence in PMs
I conducted the Survey of Project Managers in 2005 to gauge project manager awareness and attitudes regarding emotional intelligence. A subset of the responses to the survey is shown below.
Note that the respondents were asked to indicate their current level of career progression using the following scale, based on the PM career path for a previous employer. Respondents were distributed as following within the scale. This scale is somewhat arbitrary but was shown to somewhat reliably track against project management experience levels as well as overall compensation.
