Managing relationships


You may have noted that there is not a chapter in this book dedicated to human resource management. This is not because we do not recognise its importance. The reality of running a small business is it is unlikely that you will be able to think about HR as a distinct function for some time to come nor will be able to afford to hire someone to manage it for you. Some of the functions can be outsourced as we have indicated earlier but most of the day-to-day aspects will fall into your lap to manage.
