When the doctor throws the word cancer as part of your diagnosis, your life gets turned upside down. A memory from the summer of 2014 I’d never forget.
As someone who’s very analytical (a trait that most engineers have), I felt an urge to figure out what had happened that led to that diagnosis.
After recovering from the initial shock of the news and going through the recommended treatment, I found myself constantly thinking and asking the same questions over and over again: “How can this be? How did I get here?” This experience forced me to evaluate my entire life.
