Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) is a way of developing software that encourages starting from user stories (or features) and then moving on from those to system implementation. According to Dan North, one of BDD's initiators, a feature is a description of a requirement and its business benefit, and a set of criteria by which we all agree that it is “done”. The main goal of BDD is for project stakeholders (customers, business people, project managers, developers, and people who work in quality assurance) to share common expectations about a feature.
