Acknowledge Your Mistakes
Acknowledging mistakes is critical. An inability to acknowledge mistakes will cause history and harm to repeat on a never-ending loop. And if you’ve done something wrong, learned why it was a problem, and do it again—that’s no longer a mistake. That’s active harm.
A Note on the “Devil’s Advocate”
It is not uncommon to hear someone take up the point of the “devil’s advocate” during many conversations on DEI topics. The point of this is to create an argument based in fact (or fiction but argued as fact) as a counterpoint to whatever content is being discussed.
