Chapter 7. Phase II: Patch Management
design and implementation
In this chapter, we describe the approach of the financial accounting company
with the IBM design team to define the corporate Patching Policy for its
endpoints. We examine the available options for implementing a process for
patching, differentiating between servers and workstations. This chapter then
describes how the financial accounting company implements the patching
process by using Tivoli Endpoint Manager. We describe why the patching
process chosen was appropriate for the financial accounting company. We also
cover the required maintenance. We divide the discussion into the following
