Indoor air quality and ventilation in the urban environment

Ventilation has a key role in providing an optimum indoor climate in buildings. Indoor air quality (IAQ) is directly determined by the performance of the ventilation system, while air movements inside the building may be of particular importance for thermal comfort, especially in summer conditions. Moreover, ventilation may strongly affect the energy efficiency of the building.
