Basic Numerical Methods

Numerical analysis is a branch of mathematics in which we analyse and solve the problems which require calculations. The methods (techniques) used for this purpose are called numerical methods (techniques). These techniques are used to solve algebraic or transcendental equations, an ordinary or partial differential equations, integral equations, and to obtain functional value for an argument in some given interval where some values of the function are given. In numerical analysis, we do not strive for exactness but try to device a method which will yield an approximate solution differing from the exact solution by less than a specified tolerance.
